Jifahamu Kenya Foundation (JKF)

JIFAHAMU KENYA FOUNDATION (JKF) is a Kenyan-registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to address health-related issues in the society.

JKF was founded as ERDP Kenya in 2002 by Mr. Ongute, a computer Engineer and a community worker who helping people who are Living Positively with HIV and AIDS achieve their dream life through instilling hope in them and he is substance-abuse counselor.

Since its inception, JKF is a constituent project of communicating vital information about health to the members of the community by branding it Vital Eye communication and has been pioneered by Emuhaya Rural Development Programme (ERDP KENYA) has been involved in the following projects:

KNOW THEIR STATUS

As a group of over 1000 young people who are HIV+, a group of their parents and children who are both HIV+ and negative, decided to form a foundation Known as Jifahamu Kenya Foundation, a foundation that helps champion success many of the problems that affect them.

Home Based Care Programs

JIFAHAMU KENYA FOUNDATION runs a Community and Home Based Care Program aimed at providing a structured support with materials and services for HIV/AIDS patients. The organization has been seeking to promote community awareness, general tips and measures of dealing with the infection for a healthy living.

Following an example of current statistics of HIV prevalence in Western province where 58,643 people out of the general population of 3,358,776 people on Home Based Care provisions then, integration of program expansion serves as the basic alternative available to tame the disadvantage.
